Waiting for the World to Change: Pushed by Consequence or Driven Towards a Solution?

Kim and Leila working with Earth Haven

Have you ever noticed how it’s only when disaster strikes in your life that you see more clearly what needs to be done, and maybe then you get up and move yourself? When your job is threatened, only then will you do your best at work, motivated by the stress and fear that comes with losing your income. Or only when someone in your life is experiencing hardships do you then take that position of support, ‘stepping up to the plate’, showing yourself what you are actually capable of doing ALL THE TIME, even when things are ‘good’ and life is ‘comfortable’ with nothing pushing you or stimulating you to move.

For those of us that have our survival met, it is too easy to remain idle. We remain idle and unmoved, not only to the problems and issues the world is facing, but to standing up within ourselves and realizing our own best potential.

It is as if it takes a disaster to cut through the emotional haze, where reality is suddenly seen clearly, and it becomes even more clear what you need to do and how to do it, even if it involves figuring it out as you go. It is only when calamity strikes that we are willing to step up, put ourselves aside and consider the greater whole, doing what’s Best for All and not just what’s best for me.

On a personal level, movement usually involves being pushed by stress, fear and insecurity, hitting a rock-bottom, or rock-bottoming as a way of life to make personal changes. This way of living is exceptionally self-compromising, it limits and diminishes Self physically and mentally, it does not nurture and support creativity, ingenuity, creation, or potential.

This pattern that exists collectively and individually indicates a very consequential way of living, because what is the statement we are making to ourselves and to Life within our actions? We are telling ourselves and Life that we must experience MORE consequence before we move our assess. We are essentially asking for disaster, calamity and wake up calls before we move ourselves to make a change. We are making the statement to ourselves, to those in our lives, to our fellow man and to Life that we accept and allow ‘the way things are’, within ourselves and this world. That we are ok with this.

On a global level, we can see the collective consequence of this pattern that plays out on an individual level, privately in secret moments, by looking at the billions of people struggling to survive. Because we are doing it in our own lives, on the global level we are also collectively screaming for more consequence before we can SEE and FEEL ‘the others’. We are unable or unwilling to move until we feel the pain ourselves. We are unwilling or unable to place ourselves in the shoes of another, cutting through our own emotional haze to see the dire reality others are living, because in our own lives we are unwilling to do it for ourselves. We are directly asking for the global consequence to become so big that it penetrates our comfort – or our ability to pay for the comfort and security we have.

This is reactive programming, where, like a robot, we wait for external stimulus before we act. We STILL require the physical input from our environment to push us to stand up and change - instead of living as creative beings that ACT, that REALIZE their best potential without any stimulus, but rather based on seeing, realizing and understanding Self, Reality and what must be done.

Earth Haven is an example of a group of people that are physically ACTING and MOVING despite consequence not being directly at our doorstep. We are developing practical, actionable solutions and developing ourselves within this process, where the standing, the changing, and the drive moves collaboratively from the inner to the outer – the personal to the global. Whether you are supporting from afar or directly involved, this group is not waiting - not only to become our Best Potentials within ourselves in our own lives, but to create a space, a haven of safety for others to come to as the world becomes more insecure.  To step up to the plate for others that will need it in time to come.

It is in this way that Earth Haven is sending another, different message to Life, saying “We are ready to change. We realize we as humanity have to change. We recognize the fact that we are creative beings with the ability to support one another, and work towards creating a Better World for All”.  We are asking Life for something else: we are asking for people, for standing, for resources, for understanding, for self-realization, for drive.

In this, we are not submitting to being programmed organic robots that function based on stimulus to act, accepting and allowing the world to exist the way it does currently. Our drive comes from within, from realizing we are a PART of this reality, and within this, we are empowered to move, to create, to make things better for ourselves and others, instead of waiting for a slow decline or unexpected calamity. Whether you are physically working with Earth Haven, or supporting from afar, you are standing with as “two or more in my name” in impulsing, living and thus birthing this message into reality and to Life.

Earth Haven has been moving for years now, based on understanding and not waiting for that point of too-lateness.  This understanding-based movement (creative vs reactive, or self-driven movement) has involved developing self-sustainability: creating communities that do not solely rely on the failing system we now see. It also involves developing financial/economic solutions that create REAL stability for human beings: basing all funding upon the principles of an Equal Money System (EMS), similar to a Universal Basic Income (UBI) for those not familiar with the EMS proposal.

Within this, we cannot do it alone. We realize the interconnectedness and thus inter-dependence that we exist within. This current reality of ‘every man for himself’ is only an illusion, it does not exist. We need each other. No one person can make the big enough change that is required. Earth Haven’s existence is only possible because of those that support, because they also see and understand reality and how it functions. They understand this needs to be a group initiative, and that the group needs to work together, each one having their role, or even better – creating their role to make this message and reality possible.

Thank you, Earth Haven supporters, volunteers and creators, for not waiting for the world to end before we drive ourselves to make a change. Thank you for your part in breaking down the programming of input/output that keeps every one locked in to things the way they are. Thank you for finding it within yourself to put yourself aside for a moment, to see the bigger picture… and then realizing that you are included in this picture. Realizing also that anything of value takes TIME to be created. Patience is required as we work at the pace of the physical. Doing things right, properly, leaving no stone unturned and no loose ends when it comes to considering what is Best for All, step by step, testing, figuring it out as we go.

We work on a system of real-time feedback, physical reality feedback, assessing over time what works and what doesn’t. This movement is organic, it cannot be predicted, and it is always unexpected. This is because it is REAL. It is not pre-programmed, it is not predictable – this now also challenging the word ‘trust’, and what does it mean to TRUST another, or a group in their process?  Because in supporting, one is also making a statement of trust.

Earth Haven is busy birthing into reality individual and group EMPOWERMENT, CREATIVE ABILITY, and TRUST. Will you support us, or continue to support us, and be a part of this?

This is a post from my Mental Health Tier at www.patteon.com/earthhaven, exploring and exposing addiction patterns and applying it to the Whole. Herein also showing how Earth haven stands as an example as a solution when applied on both an individual and collective level.
